Thank you so much for the response! and congratulations once again! I'm also expecting a MP Pony as well. Mine's still on the boat, but now I have a better understanding on what it'll look like when it arrives!
No worries.. and nice hopefully you get yours straight away and don’t get stuffed around like me… did you get a spoiler?

i also tracked mine while it was on the boat and from the dock to my town…

I did - I'm hoping I don't have to wait too long, but let's see. I would have though the spoiler was stuck on before it was shipped, I guess not.

It arrived in my town on the 25th of nov. and still waiting for it.. the dealership said I might be lucky to have it before Christmas… last I found out last week is that they are still waiting for the spoiler and black badges… it just sucks cause I know it’s just sitting there
G'day Tim congratulations, looking forward to seeing it when it's clean and shiny.

Mate it's none of my business but fwiw I'd be absolutely onto the dealer principal demanding that it be released. While it does have protective film on most of the upper surfaces it's unacceptable for a car without paint or trim protection - particularly in a dark colour - to be sitting there getting hammered by UV, birdshit, waterspotting and other elements. Noting that we're coming up to Xmas it could be 2 months before you get it even if the parts arrived this week as they'll have to book it in etc. Or...it could be indefinite.

IMHO there's absolutely no reason for them to hang on to it, they can get you back when they get the gear and they should let you have the car over Xmas so you can get it out of the elements and also enjoy it. Also fwiw I'd insist that they don't wash it - at all, ever at a dealership - but particularly this time as the amount of grit and dust it'll have on it will mess with the paintwork terribly unless significant care is taken which is usually beyond the capability of most dealer carwashes/ers.

Just my 2c.

Appreciate your 2 cents worth mate.. I’ve been to the dealers multiple times… no luck… but it is what it is and just annoying… the guy that does the pre delivery has been great to deal with and told me he wants me to have it before Christmas and will try and get it to me… he’s just waiting for the dealership to do there things..

I wanted a factory fitted one but they told me it was too late to get one as the order was in and I had to get a dealer fitted one

Appreciate the note and the knowledge. Hoping it was factory fitted - I'll find out once it finally arrives or the vessel finally docks somewhere). Question I now have is whether compliance will still be done in Dec or in Jan at this stage. All vessels seem to be all stuck out near the ports.

Yer that will be interesting to know..
Mine was stuck out side a few ports a couple of times… just waiting for it’s turn but seems like ages when you keep checking on it 😂 😂

I wasn’t going to wait the extra 1 day it was going to take to fit the black badges so they put them in the car in their boxes for me and said I could arrange any time to come back for fitting, or get it done at the 3 month inspection. I just had my PPF guys fit them. I certainly would not be waiting.

Have dealers tried passing on price increases to anyone here? They seem to think an extra long delay at your expense is reason to try and rort you pre delivery.

Apparently mines gonna be ready next week with out the spoiler but will have the badges fitted.. which I’m happy to take it back to get it fitted or get the guys to fit it when I get ceramic coating and tint done

Is it just the 23 Models maybe getting a price hike?

They will no doubt, I’ve heard even 22 models the dealer has tried to be greedy trying to get a price increase on the final amount. Just asking out of curiosity

I am worried now as my financier contacted the dealer for a tax invoice and the dealer response was that the car is in the middle of the pacific ocean due to arrive 14/01 and will be able to get all of the identifiers once it has been processed and the information submitted to the Federal government. Once they have all that a tax invoice can be raised.

I got a smoking price on mine. A different dealer said he couldn’t compete with it as it was below their cost. On delivery day the dealer principal just about choked and asked how I got that deal out of them, it was the best he had seen. They all acknowledged I could sell the car for $20k profit that day.
Yet not once was a price increase mentioned. Big props to them for that. I was worried it would have been discussed, but I would have told them to get stuffed as I had a signed contract with a purchase price. Let alone the fact I’d waited 16 months for the pleasure.
So stick to your guns, tell them to man up, and if that doesn’t work tell them to get stuffed.
Although if you fail and do have to pay more, console yourself in the fact it will still definitely be worth it!!! :)
