I have had the gt350 intake manifold setup for a while now (installed back in January)....listen to your car when it starts talking to you, i.e:

A couple months back my car developed a slight vibration that could be felt in the shifter (I attributed it to the fact that the MGW mounts to the trans) and the knob would rattle in a particular RPM range during normal driving (around 3k) and during WOT bursts it would rattle (the same amount, just an annoying buzz) throughout the pull from 6k onward. Mind you I have 30k on the car and do spirited driving on the regular but never really beat the clutch (no hard launches)

Well last Sunday at the track I made around 6 passes (finally got some radials) but was still soft launching out of the hole to preserve axles and the such..and on the 5th pass the car locked me out of 4th, but I thought I biffed the shift...on the last pass the car did it again, but this time wouldnt allow me access to any gear, I immediately pulled to parking and shut the car off to let it cool...to no avail.. but I kept trying and finally got the car into 2nd and proceeded to drive home

Heres what happened:

pretty beefy pressure plate, and the flywheel side of the clutch looks ok

No material at all on the pressure plate side, and the entire drive home that annoying rattle from before was a lot more prominent

I finished installing a RXT setup with billet steel flywheel last night (entire setup came out to be 6lbs lighter than stock) and the car has never driven so smoothly.

Do with this information what you will, but I'm sure the rattle was from some high rpm material sling off from a few months ago and the stresses from traction at the track as opposed to spinning on the street, finished the clutch off.

Same thing happened to me except all of my material was laying inside the bellhousing because mine exploded.

RXT and zero issues now.

+1 to the RXT. That thing is a beast and I can always rely on it.

I know this is coming to mine soon. Ever since the gt350 intake and 70+hp at high rpm my pedal is heavy after a run or so and seems to not be happy. Rpm and hp really kill it quickly.

Guys with the rxt is the pedal effort same mushy crap as a Honda from the 90s? I have felt the rst and hated the pedal.

I've done 7 track hpde's and at 10,000 miles the clutch is dying, randomly locking me out of high rpm down shifts, and starting to get a little finicky putting in first at the stop light. RXT probably coming over the holidays

Yep mine does that and is starting to nibble gears here and there while shifting.

It has stock pedal pressure, but an actual feelable engage/release point

I have a RXT that I'm taking out of mine. Has between 700 and 800 miles. I'm gonna let the clutch go for $650 without shipping. Taking it out next week. Car will be gone the next week.
