Just installed, two words, sublime engineering. You know when you pick up something or see a product and you just know it's been designed correctly? You pick it up and look at and say "this is just right". I remember the first time I picked up an iPhone, I was like damn this is just bad ass all the other phones just became obsolete. Yeah that's how this intercooler is. Really it is.
The end tanks and design are just "right" and it's massive but it does fit, barely. I had pulled the front clip when I installed my other intercooler ( who wants it btw) so I was able to install the ATM with out having to do so again. It's a tight fit and had to do some creative zen puzzle thinking but it went in with no damage to the work of art or the car, my thumb and fore finger not so lucky though.
So far I have only done some first impression observations but logs and video are to follow. The first thing I notice was you can't heat soak this thing. I challage anyone to go out, get in your car, start it up and let it idle for 15 mins and post up your ambient, Iat, and iat2 numbers, the atm is going to win no doubt in my mind. After 10 mins I gave up on trying to heat soak it.
Adam, is one standup dude he knows I am trying to get some 11:60s or 70s with a full weight non drag setup car (no bigs and skinnys) privately owned daily driver. He reached out to ATM for one of their intercoolers to test and made it happen.
Will be doing some logging tonight........ Stay tuned.
