Aston Martin Styling Connection?

Actually it's been said many times, you are just late :)

The mention of Aston Martin styling cues have been thrown around since at least as early as chazcron's renders. He even did a comparison next to a Vantage IIRC.
A repost from another thread, but also belongs here.

A lot of similarities, but affordably tamed down and the Mustang flavor kept intact.

This, this and this again :)

Finally got to meet Moray at the 50th banquet in Vegas. What a gent...........and he told us he's looking forward to taking his Triple Yellow S550 around the Scottish highlands when he gets it :)

Here he is with Stan, the little Hotwheels mascot from our club :)

Haha awesome pictures. Moray looks smashed! Would've been the perfect chance to get some juicy details out of him :thumbsup:

I don't get it. They don't look the same at all... It's kinda like people saying that a Chrysler 300 looks like a Rolls Royce Phantom, until you compare the Rolls next to 300 and find out that they're worlds apart. Have you seen a Aston in real life? It looks nothing like a fusion or mustang. Some people believe what they want to.

I think they're only talking about the glasshouse and rear fender shoulders, to which I agree, there are similarities.

First thing I thought when I say S550 was it's taken on an exotic flavour.

Thanks

The car shares it's design heritage via its connection to the Callum brothers. The new Mustang has subtle cues of Aston and Jaguar all over it while still retaining the Mustang presence. Ain't no better a combo than this IMO.
Thanks for schooling me on this! I couldn't agree more!

Not the best PS but

Yellow diffuser as well, to complete the CC100 look. One could do the hood vent sections in yellow too. I can't get enough of the CC100 paint scheme. My dream S550 would be in Highland Green.

I like that chin!

While there are similarities between the Mustang and Vanquish, about which I have zero complaints, the "real thing" is stunningly pretty IMO. I would prefer the Vanquish ;)

But I don't have $300k. I might have $30k though.

I was wondering just now... what are the odds that there will ever be a factory Mustang with more than eight cylinders? I find the looks of the new car to be so classy and up-market versus the old car... I don't need more power, but I long for a ruckus V12 exhaust note in my life, and might that fit with the direction of the new car? I've always figured I'd be looking at (very) used Aston some day to scratch that itch, but would Ford ever build a grand touring 12 cylinder car? The current Aston power plant is at least derived from Ford, right? Come to think of it... what was the last 12 cylinder domestic car?

Amazing that S550 isn't totally outclassed when compared to the World's Most Beautiful Car

As for the V12. Forget about it from the factory. Besides, I actually (just about) prefer the more angry sound of a V8.......at least one with a decent exhaust :)
