Hey guys,
What type of IATs are you guys seeing now that its warming up? And with what type of intakes? I've got the jlt intake and I was seeing temps with in 2-3° of ambient when cruising, when the temps were under 90°. Now with it over 90° I'm seeing 4-5° above ambient. At a normal stop light im rising to about 10° over but it drops quick when I get moving and if I idle for an extended period of time it shoots up like crazy but that's to be expected with the open filter. Just wondering how this compares with others around here with different intakes?

I'm running a procharger system on my 2018 GT, but usually within 2-4 degrees of ambient when cruising. if I recall, this is about how it behaved last Summer as well. CHT's are another story. I've seen 228 deg in 118 deg ambient in traffic with a 170 deg Tstat. Uggg I hate Az Summers!

Wow 228° seems brutal. I'll be interested to see how high mine rise. I don't think I've seen cylinder head temp rise past 212° to this point but this will be my first summer with the car.

Yeah 228 is crazy hot. However, the actual ECT's peaked at 216 degrees according to the nGauge. Hot, but still nothing too crazy according to what I've read. A fried of mine that runs a performance shop in Chandler told me the late model Corvette's high speed fan doesn't even kick on until 235 deg coolant temp.

Before the Kenne Bell, my Steeda CAI kept me within 2-5 degrees when in motion.

Within 5-7 max degrees or so at a stop light. Barely above ambient when moving. Stock box though.

I’m starting to see low to mid 130’s on mine now that we’re into the trip digits. That’s with the KB not in boost at highway speeds and the IAT sensor relocated to the intake and out of the MAF.

Going to try and just get through the summer then put in place a couple measures to keep it in check. Mainly because it’s too hot to be messing around in the garage. And funding. Can’t forget the funding.

Once warmed up and cruising on the highway at 70, my cylinder head temp was consistently at 204 and never went higher than 206 for brief moments. IAT’s peaked at 128 and hovered in that range except when I was stopped. Car external temp gauge said it was 105 out.

I know mine hit 212° but only when driving around for an hour or so playing with the 0-60 and 1/8th mile timers once. It's amazing how consistent the car is even when hammering on it over and over. Normally it only gets to about 204° as well

Thanks much. I've been seeing a max of about 215 or so Cyl Head Temp and about 208 ECT, so nothing too crazy. However, it's not as hot as it typically is this time of year. My crazy temps were last year in early July when it was 118 deg ambient. We'll see how it goes.
