Can anyone comment on the volume of the ARH cat back compared to the ford racing touring system? I'm not talking tone, just volume. I'm hoping this would land just a little louder than the touring system??
Forgot to mention....ARH = ZERO drone at any RPM !!! Did I say I was really, really happy with ours???:headbang:

Sorry I haven't heard the FRPP Touring in person, but here is my video of the ARH catback which gives a good indication of the volume difference between normal driving and WOT for this exhaust.

Says all the videos I've watched of the full setup. Of course that's open to interpretation, but to me, headers really change the sound of it. I'm not saying it's bad at all. I actually like the full ARH sound but not on a Mustang. Again, that's my opinion.
I think you lose sound in the vids. My ARH H pipe with headers sounds like a high revving big block muscle car, very deep. My friend with the same setup was a 1/4 mile away and got on it, I didn't know it was him because I thought it was an old muscle car.

I added this catback to my car last weekend. My impressions are that it is one of the deepest and most throaty exhausts I've had/heard. The volume inside the car is also greatly increased, but I'm hoping that I get a little more used to that aspect. I know what drone is and have had it very bad on other cars/exhausts - I don't notice drone on this car although there are RPMs where it is definitely louder in the cabin with the windows up (more of a hum/rumble than what you'd get with atom-splitting high frequency drone). There is also zero rasp even in the uppermost RPMs - the deep rumble just builds.

I've had many exhausts on F-bodies and my 2005 GTO including LTH setup. The ARH catback borders on too loud for my tastes, but that is partly because as I get older, I don't like the exhaust as loud. Overall, I am very satisfied with tone/volume, but wouldn't mind it slightly quieter. I think a lot of posts rank this as one of the milder catbacks volume-wise (and I don't dispute that), but it is substantially louder than stock and I wouldn't want any louder.

I did the install myself with 4 jack stands. Install would certainly go quicker with a lift and two people, but it is doable on your own. The stock exhaust is quite the eyesore in my garage right now as I debate chunking it or keeping it to collect dust.

I will try to get a video this upcoming weekend to add to the others on here.

Great review. Thanks for reinforcing my decision to go with the ARH catback

Y'all gonna be happy with your decision!! ARH I feel, are the best for sound and zero drone!! Now I just have to get rid of the sound tube!!

Pls note....the H-Pipe with the longest side goes on drivers side!! They are pretty good at labelling L & R. If you loosen all clamps event the cats, then tighten slightly, it will help center your tips perfectly!

it has an engine!
I have still yet to hear a good video of the full ARH LT W/ H set up. I heard one video but the audio quality wasn't good. Wish I could find a good video. Until then I still plan to go with the Full X format.

this one is even better (especially the revs at the very end which doesn't really count I suppose)

That is the best audio quality ive heard for it. Everything i found was horrible sounding. I hate the idle and rev videos. Wot and under load always sounds much different . Thanks for the video. Ive got some thinking to do now. Ive liked some of the videos I found of the X. I think it sounds good. I had the ARH full system with H on my 14 gt500. But everything I had found showed the X to sound better on the coyote, at least with ARH.

Weird, mine went together slightly differently than what is pictured in your post. When installed, my part of the H pipe that connected the dual exhaust the "-" in the "H" was positioned so that end was closer to the engine as opposed to your photo. With my catback, this was the only way since those ends were much more tapered to fit with the stock sleeve/clamp and pipe coming from the cats. I believe the longer end of the h pipe was still driver side, but my H needed to be flipped from what you posted. Otherwise the tapered ends of the H would not fit with the 3in tubing of the ARH piping.

Edit - Maybe they have changed the catback slightly during its production run or maybe because I don't have a full system with long tube headers.

This picture is pretty much how mine went on for my car.
