F*ck satellite radio. I was a subscriber for years, then they killed the punk channel. I told them I would never pay for the service again after that. Now I stick with mostly Amazon Radio in the Mustang and Pandora (meh) in my truck.

I'm thinking Sirius gets good kickbacks from Ford. I've owned the car a total of 3 weeks and already the Sirius XM mail is coming in. Clearly Ford sold them my personal info. I'm expecting the phone solicitations to start any day.

There's only 1 way to get me to sub... increase the bit-rate and make it sound close to FM. They won't ever do that and that's my response to them as well.

For those that use Spotify, Pandora, etc, doesn't that use a lot of data?

I listen to FM radio 95% of the time. The other times, I'll use my MLB.tv At Bat app to listen to baseball games, or iHeart Radio to listen to a couple other rock stations that play different genres than my local stations. I cannot stand the tinny, lifeless sound of Sirius.

I use Spotify premium family deal. $15 for two accounts.

You can either use it via Bluetooth or AppleCar/AndroidAuto. Even HD radio (if you have the Shaker, B&O option) sounds better than Spotify.

I use Sirius to listen to talk: Howard Stern, news, sports etc. HOWEVER - I prefer to drive with Android Auto and you can't control the car's built in Sirius within AA - you have to back out into Sync to change channels, then back to AA. You CAN use AA with the Sirius app, but then I'm using my data.
I'd love for AA to find a way to control the car's built in Sirius (and also the climate control, which is another PITA about AA).

10k songs on a thumb drive.

We're fortunate that the satellite antenna is relatively innocuous on the Mustang. Mazda puts an ugly shark fin on the trunk of every Miata along with a whip for FM. The big fin on the Camaro isn't exactly attractive either.

Googling around I found some 'interesting' downloads for Spotify without payment.

I have been a subscriber for years. I never pay full. My car is parked for 6 months a year, the other 6 months I pay about $30.

I would never pay full price, not because of worth, but because of amount of time spent on my car.

I also use my USB port with mp3s and from time to time I even use the CD player.......YES, the CD player.

Apple CarPlay and Apple Music. Easiest and plays what I tell it to with the windows down at highway speed when I can’t even hear myself.

I've had Sirius/XM since I bought my '08 Bullitt in, well, '08. I like the DJs--Earl Bailey is my favorite--good stories. It's all of about 60 cents a day--about one-third of a beer (or about a fifth of a 'craft' beer)--and it's worth that for Tom Petty's 'Buried Treasure.' Not a big TP fan, but BT is very entertaining (as was Bob Dylan's 'Themetime Radio Hour (?)', but I haven't found that in a while).

I like the stories of folk trying to cancel the service.
Guys on the biker forum I frequent talk like it is a nightmare to get rid of it.

Pay radio is NOT for me............

The problem with Sirius is the quality..it's worse than hd radio on a majority of the channels because they compress the hell out of the stream.

I keep one CD in the player: it's the one I found to be the best house-cleaning accompaniment. Paul Simon, Graceland. Works good for car cleaning as well.
