Same thing with android auto, and playing music from your phone thru sync is a pain in the ass. With Sirius - it just works. Sort of like FM radio. You don't have to worry every time you get in your car if FM or Sirius will work. With an iphone and apple car play; it's always a crap-shoot.
It's been done using Forscan on other vehicles. Maybe this is the same on the Mustang?I would pay to remove it from my Mustang. I hate that my vehicles will go to that dead zone when Sync 3 burps. If you don't use it, why can't you remove it.

Thank you !Tell them you want to be billed and not to use the card on file. Then you can let it lapse and get a better deal to renew, you just have to suffer for a few days with out it. Every time I renew that is what I do and it they give me the best deal they have at the time.
I kinda like the music Sirius offers.
I do use Spotify via Apple Car Play, but it's notorious for being finicky. Sometimes the phone won't connect, sometimes ios updates need to be done, sometimes cell service is spotty, etc. etc.
