Hi guys, I apologize that this may be a dumb question but I'm looking at buying a used 2015 GT from a private party and want to know if the warranty would transfer over to me. It has under 5k miles so it's got a lot of warranty life left.

Thanks for the knowledge in advance!

Yep, the car is covered with the factory 3yr/36k. Any extended warranties should be transferable for a small fee.

Thanks. Will I have to do anything with Ford or will it just be covered anytime I take it in. I've never bought a car from a private party with factory warranty.

You shouldn't have to do anything with the factory warranty, only if there is an extended warranty.

You might want to ensure you go by a dealer to get "signed up" to ensure you get recall notices etc. though. I'm not sure how that works.
