I don't have a 2007, I quoted the poster responding to you, sarcastically pointing out that he missed the part where you said "recent". :headbonk:No your MY 2007 is old and a prior gen. I said gaps are “common in recent years”, meaning in recent model years.
AFAIK, S550s have been a bit notorious for inconsistency in regards to panel gaps and paint quality. My 2001 New Edge and 2013 S197 were perfect, my 2016... well, I've never had a car have this many chips in paint in just two years before
Sure, there are S550s that are "perfect", but a substantial amount seems to be... well, "not". I hope this changes with the 2018s, haven't heard/seen much yet, though.
