No your MY 2007 is old and a prior gen. I said gaps are “common in recent years”, meaning in recent model years.
I don't have a 2007, I quoted the poster responding to you, sarcastically pointing out that he missed the part where you said "recent". :headbonk:

AFAIK, S550s have been a bit notorious for inconsistency in regards to panel gaps and paint quality. My 2001 New Edge and 2013 S197 were perfect, my 2016... well, I've never had a car have this many chips in paint in just two years before :p
Sure, there are S550s that are "perfect", but a substantial amount seems to be... well, "not". I hope this changes with the 2018s, haven't heard/seen much yet, though.

Got it thanks. How are gaps on your 2016?

I have a 2017 GT and the gaps are not great. You would think that after 3 years in production, they'd get it right.

Uneven
Not terrible by any means and each side on its own is even, however, the gaps on some of the driver side are different than the passenger side. Glad I leased and hoping my 2018/2019 is better

Just fix the gaps yourself....

You may have a few hours, while the people on the line have 45 seconds.

I know there are generally panel alignment issues with our cars, but what are your thoughts on these gaps
Yea don't worry I have a '17 gt and my rear bumper gaps are the same as yours.
