I noticed that my Apple Car Play does not open anymore when I plug in my IPhone 14. I have tried it a few times now, anybody know of a fix/reboot that will work? I don't want to take it to the dealer if I don't have to.

Happened to me in my '18 GT a couple weeks ago. I had to "forget this car" in the carplay settings in general settings and delete my iphone in the sync settings on the car. Plugged my phone back in and it repaired and has been perfect since.

This is a common problem with sync 3; I've had the same in my 2017 Raptor and 2019 GT350. Try a new iPhone cord and see if that helps likewise you can try deleting and re-pairing the phone to the car. It is intermittent but yes annoying and I never found a permanent fix.

Thanks R3G, I'll try that. Makes me miss the simpler days gone by of my 4 channel 8 track...

8 Track? I miss my good ol' cassette deck in my Mach 1 Audio system from my 98' GT. Worked flawlessly for the 12 years I had the car.

Yes, 8 track. Had it in my '68 El Camino. That little cockpit sounded awesome with that discreet 4 channel sound. Until it would eat the tape.... :)

8 Track? Cassette? ... Is that like, some kind of old CD or something?

Another trick I've found is if you switch to the other charging port, wait for it to show that it's charging your phone battery, and then plug it back into the main one. I don't know why it works, but I'm guessing there's a common mechanism that resets when you connect/disconnect a device.
