So I'm going to be doing the OPG/TG combo. But I haven't seen anybody talk about anything else while you're in there. I see MMR makes a variety of parts like chain guides and that secondary tensioner for the driver side cams.

But is anything else really NEEDED? I don't plan on going much higher than 850, if I even get that high. So are OPG/TG really all that is needed? Or is there something else I should go ahead and change while I have the timing cover off?

Can't really help with your question, but I was wondering what set of instructions your using for the timing and torque specs.

Is that a bad issue? How hard is it to install that?
Easy install, but it does require to pull the Secondary chain to install it. Just an extra step, not bad at all. It sets the tensioner in the correct "slop side/loose side" of the chain ensuring no skips. For the record, I went ahead and did the HD secondaries, billet Secondary tensioners and biller primary tensioners... didnt want to get back in there after doing all of this.

Ford recommend the BOSS / Cobra Jet timing chain tensioners, they are only about $100 and relatively easy to install whilst your in their. Levitown sell them. :)
