Hey guys,
I found the gas pedal is a bit far away from the brake pedal, (positioned too low or the pedal is very small...) hence heel-toe is hardly smooth for me...
Is anyone here using some sort of gas pedal spacer or pedal extension? What brand do you use....
Or maybe my right foot too small......:frusty:

Much appreciated in advance!

Yes. Really didn't help. I need a BMW-style bottom hinge gas pedal to heal toe effectively. Break pedal goes down for days but the contact point of the gas pedal where I'd heal toe to blip it is in the wrong spot. A spacer didn't really help me much. It just sort of put the pedal in a better position for me to just drive it comfortably. I would like to pull up the clutch pedal a little, too, since it has 9 friggin feet of travel.

A company call space city spies sells plastic spacers that are significantly cheaper than the garage line spacer. That said, just use a stack of washers.

Spacecityspy seems to be a easier solution... but they are out of stock. I will try them out.
Glad to know I'm not the only one here.

Nope! Good ole fashioned pivoting going on here. No spacers, no issues. I wear a 10 race shoe.

Interesting topic this one. I have tried to heel and toe but find its very difficult for me as the brakes on the 350 are just a bit too sensitive unless you are under threshold braking at 9/10ths or more. I was able to do it under these conditions in Utah at the 1 day track attack program. But there are many situations where you aren't needing threshold braking and then its so difficult for me. Regarding add on pedals I have put this one on top of my existing gas pedal thinking it would be a help with the heel and toe...it might have helped but not enough to suit me. So in the end I whimped out and put on the AutoBlip which I'll get to track test this weekend at Willow Springs....weather permitting as its iffy...we'll see. Sorry for the slightly blurry pic.

There was a big thread on this, called something like the $5 gas pedal mod, using the nylon spaces from Lowes or Home Depot, which is what I did. If I recall the correct nylon spacer size if 1" diameter, 0.5" thick, 0.5" inner diameter. It made a big difference, but yes, I had gotten used to heel and toe on the BMW M cars, and still would prefer a BMW style gas pedal, but spacers and a wider pedal come close. Oh, when you put the spacers in make sure they sit flush without the carpet edges getting stuck between them.

I've had great luck with SRP pedal sets. not only can you get the spacing to your liking, you get pedal surfaces with much better grip and feel.
