It's what I'm leaning towards but the weight of the 1.5 ton aluminum one is tempting. Their website has multiple 5 star reviews for it but heard some negative things about it too.
Do you trust aluminum hold up your 'stang?

I've using a 2-ton aluminum racing jack for nearly 20 years. No problem lifting and holding trucks, vans and the lighter cars. However, you always want to support the vehicle with jack stands. That one finally lost a seal so I converted it to a tranny jack; works fine for that load.

Recently purchased a new 2-ton racing, along with the HF 1.5 ton racing. That thing is pretty light but does do a fine job without effort. Plan on using it at the track. I also have a 3-ton HF that hardly gets used - too heavy, too tall and doesn't lift high enough. But I do have the occasional need for that jack.

I got two of the 2-ton HF jacks that lift up to 23" or so . . . more for the lifting height than capacity. Paid about the same as what they're being pitched for in the emailed advertisement that came out today.

I have somebody else's aluminum jack, probably 1.5 ton, that stays in the trunk of the Mustang. And there's an old steel 1.5-tonner in the trunk of the Maxima. More than fine for repeatedly lifting one corner of most anything I'd ever buy.

I recently bought the 1.5 ton version the OP posted from HF. It works great for getting the car up. I use it in conjunction with jack stands. I bought it with one of HF's super coupons making it a real steal. It is much better at getting under my lowered car than my old jack.

I have the 1.5 ton and can confirm it takes some muscle to lift up the car but I do feel it is safe.

Awesome database of coupons in that link!!
