Anyone running them? I'd like to see pics and get your opinions on them.

I've been running a set for years. Got them used from another member here. They are in R sizes 11" front and 11.5" rear. If you search enough, you will find a couple instances of them breaking during track use. Mine see street duty only.

They are a great looking wheel. I also do only street use with the occasional blast through the mountains and the tail of the dragon. I was curious on how well they hold up

I've had them on for about 6500 miles and one auto cross day. Working well so far. Easy to clean, very light weight, and they come spec'd for S550s. Mine are 19x10 ET35 and 19x11.5 ET56.

The pictures are from this spring. They may be dusty in the photos, but the finish is perfect. No fade, no degradation.

If you do a forum search you’ll find detailed photos of cracked P51 wheels.
Recently American Racing produced a more robust version of the P51 style wheel built for the S550 Mustang.

Greg,
I wouldn't run the AR wheels on the track either. They are only rated for 1,300lbs. As a comparison the Apex flow formed SMs are 1,550lbs an their forged are at 2,100lbs.
I hate passing judgment on a product based on just a couple of internet posts. You are only ever hearing the part of the story that the writer decides to share.

Their website is P51 wheels. They have more than one style.
Well the web engineers at the website sure dont make them in Sante Fe Springs, CO.

most wheels are made overseas, a US (or whatever) company specs a wheel and then a factory in another country actually makes them. The factories schedule production runs for low volume comissions on some schedule, and they produce for a lot of ā€˜brands’. Its inefficient to make a small volume all the time so they batch them up.

So, the factory/country of origin is a completely fair questions.

in this case though its not clear if the design (the spokes are really very thin - too thin) or the quality control is why some of them break. FWIW they are spin forged aka flow formed, which is a good way to lighten/strengthen the barrels, but the face of the wheel is still basically cast aluminum (i.e. not strong), and thats not a big suprise to anybody, so I think the face design is the real issue.
