I keep my top down most of the time unless I am worried about rain. Just don’t keep anything laying out for folks to steal.
We did go to church one day on a sunny day and came out to a monsoon heavy rain 🥺 in my older Mercedes convertible.
That roof went up slow but that day it seems like it took 20 minutes 🤣

8 months down top in Florida
No issues for me🤩
I am currently in my 25th consecutive month driving at least once top down (and usually a few), this in the Great White North. In nearly 6 years of ownership, I’ve only missed maybe six or eight months.

My wife's X1 xDrive has a panoramic moonroof. Could be an option?
We already have an SUV and it has a V6. I have never opened the sunroof. It's just not the same as having no top, though I did have a T-top Firebird TA in the 90s. That was tolerable.
