well the wheels look great but i think the offset is wrong. too much poke for even a 305. Shop is going to call koya monday to discuss options. I expect we will need to do new rear rims.

I will put up some pics once done as its currently sitting SUV style :)

Did the measure the offsets first? The dealer I spoke to said they may have to machine by 5mm

I will get the drop done and reasses. Have contacted koya and don't expect any issues getting the rears fixed If required. It will sit down and tuck when it's dropped with some camber but will know later in the week...

Looks like the rear offset is 40. seems wrong from what i have read and suggested from other wheels.

Fronts look good :)

Melbnut, what is the width of the rear wheels? Offset is usually cast or stamped on the inside of one of the spokes.

20x11 with a 40 offset on the rear. Apparently it will tuck under when dropped but I am not convinced yet. I am sure the shop and Koya will sort it out. Now to find the correct bloody gorilla lug for these wheels!

Swapping wheels is far more effort than I had expected

Melbnut Mate, I'd be utterly blown away if an 11" +40 could get u der the guard, regardless of lowering. That's 10mm more proud than the 6GRmwhich is already needing about 2 net to squeeze in there.
Having said that, I'd love to be proven wrong on this one.
I was hoping they'd do a +55 so I could keep the rear camber somewhere near 1 degree..

An 11" rear with +40 offset: the outer edge will move out 31.55mm and the inner edge will move in 6.55mm. Usually with an 11" rear the offset which gives a "flush" fitment is +50mm; a lower offset moves the wheel centreline out. You can see that 31.55 + 6.55 = 38.1 - this is 1.5" which is the overall increase in your wheel width.

They'll have to change the rear wheel I think.

I'm waiting on a set of Gorilla lug nuts from Amazon - not too happy as it's been more than 3 weeks now and still not shipped.

The model no. is 71643NBC; this is a Black Chrome. Specs are M14x1.5, don't remember the length offhand but this is the right size.

Hope it all gets worked out for you.

Cheers

Thanks for the help! I expect they will replace also. Will see how I go on Monday.

what profile tyres did you finally settle for
Ended up with a 275 35 20 on the front and 305 30 20 on the rear.

I had a look at the Koya site and i am guessing i may need to drop the deep concave to get the correct offset. in the deep concave it tops out at a +45.

http://www.koya.com.au/cars/sf04-20-semi-forged-custom-fit/

Mind you the black car in the pics is running a 12 inch rear and it seems to fit better than my 11.. so maybe the drop will even it out some.

Its kind of annoying the crap out of me today so i need to stop looking at it until Monday when both the shop and Koya can sort it out :). They have been nothing but helpful so far so i am sure it will be a non-issue.

I was pretty keen on the Project 6GR wheels and had ordered a set but the +50 offset on the rear put me off as I felt it would be too close to the guard.

That's why I changed to the MRR M350's at +55. These move out 16.55mm and in 21.55.

Just for interest, on the Velgen VMB9 10.5" +45, it moves out 20.2mm. Hybrid's car has these so you can get an idea how that fits. An 11" +45 will move out even further.

looking at the website I think you're right - you'll have to go Concave and don't go less than +50 for the offset - also need to check that at this offset it will clear the brakes.

Sorry to appear obsessive about offsets but I spent a lot of time researching them.

Mate, don't stress. They kinda have to if they want the Mustang fraternity onside.

It's not obsessive, it has to be done. We can't rely on the Yanks too much cos they run spacers and pokey fitment without consequence. Tyres hanging outside the guards ain't cool over here.

No not at all I appreciate it! I will be sorting it out this week and will take your advice. I think I'll have to lose the deep concave (which looks awesome) and stick with regular concave. Will see what they say... I don't mind a bit of negative camber but I don't think it's even going to fit at all
