Hoping someone will be able to point me in the right direction here. Over the past few weekends, I have been struggling with getting my car up and running after removing the VMP Blower and replacing it with a Hellion Kit, I also did the oil pump gears and sprocket. Once everything was back together I went to start it and nothing but the sound of the starter solenoid shooting out was happening. Immediately thought the timing was off and it smacked a valve but found out I was able to turn it over by hand. The starter is good by the way, I explain below.

Still no luck with that so I took it apart again and re-did the timing procedure just for extra safety. But yet still having the same issue. I was able to jump the starter relay (after checking the relay) and got the car to crank over finally but still doesn't sound right almost like its out of time still with a weird clunk which can be heard in the video. Can not figure out what is wrong but have checked and triple checked everything. So it seems like the ecu is cutting power to the starter for some reason. Next thing to do is a compression test if no one has any ideas. The videos are linked below.

Is the battery good and charged? Doesn't sound good. You sure you followed the timing procedures correctly? Doesn't take much to bend a valve when turning the motor over with a breaker bar.

Batteries brand new. Followed the exact procedure from Shopkey. Pretty seamless job as long as you line up the links with timing marks and follow the procedure. Was able to get it to fire for a second the other day and it got just enough oil pressure to get rid of the loud tapping.
