Anyone have the Ford Performance Shift knob?

Wondering if the shift pattern is recessed or not. If so I'm thinking about perhaps filling the pattern with DHG touchup paint to turn it green.

I have a white version of that knob in my 17 with black pattern and it is recessed.

I have the black one and it is engraved in with the white filling.

Initially, I read the title as a performance shift knob made by Ford. It made me chuckle.

I do not, the previous owner was kind enough to install it with a MGW short shifter.
