anyone have issues with the reverse plunger getting stuck up? It's happened to me a couple of times. could it be cause i'm not on flat ground? I noticed that is a commonality when it has occurred

I quite regularly end up back in reverse when trying to go to 1st. It's annoying. Definitely happens to me on flat ground. I haven't looked at the shifter when it happens. I don't believe I'm touching the pull-up ring thing when it happens. I've just assumed that it needs a little delay for some unknown reason.

I opened a thread on this "reverse lockout" in the UK site .... same thing happened to me me last week

I took off the gear knob and liberally sprayed WD40 (you have that in the US - right?) down the gear change shaft

I left it overnight - then repeated

then I pulled and pushed the reverse lockout several times

replaced gear nob

waited a day

all is good again

I can only think that it must be dust, grit or something
