Anyone ever run VP101

In the middle of the summer, it can get over 100* ambient and track temp is near 150*. Car is down 4MPH. As much as I'd love to run E85, the only local station is going the way of the dodo bird so it's not an option...but I can get VP101 out of the pump from a station about 35 miles from home. Also, every place that sells VP/Renegade, will not sell E85 (even if I purchased >55 galls).

So...thoughts? Anyone done it? It's an unleaded, C.A.R.B legal (though I don't live in CA) fuel, so I expect it to be kind to O2 sensors.

I run 93 and VP Octanium. It seems to help a little

Sucks about your E85 station. That's perfect for the hot conditions you describe.

We have a vp101 pump close and i've run it for extra track day protection.

Sucks about your E85 station. That's perfect for the hot conditions you describe.
When it warms up, I'm thinking about making a run for the border with a couple of empty barrels...but with this being so close. $5/gal isn't horrible all things considered.

As the saying goes, race gas is cheaper than pistons.
