I just saw these on the Mustang at Goodwood.

Good grief they are huge. They look like they take up 1/2 to 2/3 of the back of the visor. They are a huge eyesore for me. I've never taken them off any of my cars but then again they have never been this big.

My question is have any of you removed them? How you did? And I'm guessing the sooner you remove it when new the easier it is. Love to hear some insights from those who have.

My 2010 audi had similar ones; huge eyesore. From what I saw on the forums people had to just buy new visors to get rid of the stickers. It almost felt like they were in the visor material itself.

Yep, I'm going to do whatever I need to remove those or cover those up. There is NO need to have them that size and they look tacky and stick out like a sore thumb on a black interior.

I would assume buying a new visor would still have the sticker on it so that is out. I know there are black stickers to cover the sticker. But at this size I think I'd rather have an entire visor cover that slipped on and hid these atrocities.

The easiest way to get rid of them is to paint them. Remove the three screws . Cover all of the sun shade with masking tape except those ridiculous stickers. Hit them with flat black Rustoleum 2x paint this stuff is great when dry strip off tape and put them back up easy pesy.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

I've seen some videos online of taking a heat gun or blow dryer to the stickers to warm and loosen them and then slowly peel them away. Then if any glue/residue is left over use some type of mild solvent to remove the sticky residue. Sounds time intensive but those stickers are hideous.

I tried removing them from 2010 they won't come off. They are made to be permanent maybe years ago they could be removed but not now and once painted you'll never notice them.
The one and only place I'd like to put a sticker is over those stickers. LOL

Maybe someone will offer a tasteful black sticker or thin plastic piece backed with an adhesive, cut to size that said Mustang on it. It might actually look halfway decent. If no one does I will go the paint route if they can't be removed. :)

They might be smaller or even absent completely on cars destined for export markets.

If that's the case I'll keep you guys informed so you can buy replacement parts.

Federal laws suck.

Removed mine from the Ranger with a decent amount of heat and some patience. I'm 95% sure that they are just ironed on. The ones in my Volvo are not nearly as big, so I don't have too much of a problem with them. I actually didn't notice them until a couple of days ago, and I've had the car for two months now. The F-100 never had them! Hell, it doesn't even have a shoulder belt! Got to love the old days. Big ol' rumbly carb'ed V8. It's weird owning a vehicle thats more than twice as old as you.

Wow, I ADD'd hard.

You used to be able to use an Iron and a piece of Cloth to remove them. You would remove the Visors and place a Cloth over the Decal then using the Iron, Heat the Decal which would then stick to the Cloth and then you could Slowly Work it Peeling the Decal off with the Cloth. I'll probably try that first, then if that fails just take the Visors to an Upholstery Shop that does Headliner Repair and have them Re-Covered with Black Headliner Cloth to match the Headliner.

Not great, as they don't cover all of the original sticker, but better than nothing. I have these on my '05 :)

Because of the way the stickers is baked into the fabric or printed directly on the visor there is no removing them. But painting them and they almost completely disappear. It is fast easy and cheap. No down side to painting them.

Would you happen to have a picture of how yours look painted? Thanks.
