I went and picked up my Mustang on Tuesday; my boyfriend noticed a slight defect in the rear black panal that goes around the GT 50th Anniversary badge (pictures attached) On the left lower side it's perfect but on the right side you can notice a difference in color like it didnt match up or it was slit or something else... Just wondering if it happened to anyone else.
Also - I never got a owners manuel - was this a mistake from the dealership?
(I had MAJOR problems when I went to pick up my car) Did not go smooth at all and a car that they got on Thursday of last week and I didn't pick it up till Tuesday (I was in Las Vegas at SEMA) should of been perfect and all ready to go when I got there; nope... Plates weren't on and I got the crap forgot the name where it's a coating they put on the outside and inside of the car to protect it... The lady told me 3 times it was done - even took my car to the back to the service people and they even were like yes it was done; my boyfriend noticed two plastic pieces that were left on the rear window and was like if the car was treated; these would NOT be here and the treament would of been on it; well then my sales guy came over and goes OMG I forgot to tell them to do it so I had to wait 2 hours for them to do it but being lied to and if it wasn't for my boyfriend I would left the dealership without it being done thinking it was then the lady got nasty with me because I got loud and upset because she lied... Just totally ruined my whole experience but I have my car and now waiting to see if they will replace that part which is why I'm wondering if anyone else had the same problem as well as didn't get a owners book with the car

Eck how can I attached the pictures :(

RUN AWAY BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE
Trust me I wanted to but I wanted my car
Also another dumb question; can someone post picture of their engine bay for the 5.0?
I'm seeing pictures with a bar across the engine on some but then on others I don't ( sorry still learning) big step from my 2001 V6

The bar is a tower-to-tower brace that is on vehicles equipped with the Performance Package.

It appears the car you ordered does not have the performance pack, therefore you will not see that bar running between the strut towers.

Thought so but wasn't sure. The entire process with the dealer when I picked up my car was so messed up.... To point they were like can we take pictures of you next to your car for advertisement; I'm like are you kidding.. a process that should of taken less than half hour took over 4+ hours cause you messed up (what really upset me was the dealership told me everything was perfect and would be extremely fast so my mom didn't bring her Oxygen tank with her and got really ill) Nah.. I would like my car... a car manuel and the real back panel ordered; thanks.. Then maybe pictures

Geez, I am sorry to hear about such a crummy experience. What dealership did you go to? Guess it's safe to assume that you may never go back there again?

On the positive side...You have your car!! :D:clap2:

Just make sure your owners manual isn't in the glovebox. There's a special slot for it in there, so it might not be obvious.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Hope it gets better from here.

I went to Healy's in Goshen, NY
I'm going to have to go back to their service cause the plan I got with my car included all my basic service work for the length of my warranty (7yrs) but has to be done by their dealership if I want it free but it might be worth the money to try another dealership since they gave me so many problems :( YES I do - was able to drive her 2 days then had to tuck her away since we got about 3" of snow here.

I searched all over and I can't find it. I'll look again in the glove box but the only thing in there was the window sticker :(

Has any one else had the same problem with the rear black panel? My dealership emailed me that he ordered the owners manual but nothing about my rear panel and it's as clear as day as something is wrong with it.

BabiBlues, if you bought the service plan from Ford, any Ford dealer can honor it. You do not have to go back to the same dealership.

Congrats on the new car.

Great news.. Thanks so much
I asked my dealership about the rear trunk lid and I just got this response

I’ll check on the pricing for the deck lid. I’m told we have to run it through service. We may have you come in and have them take pics and write it up. I’ll keep looking into it.

I shouldnt have to drive back the 45 miles to do dealership when I showed 3 sales people the damage and they told me just send them pictures and we will order it; now I'm getting this.

I am so sorry @Babyblues75. I hope your mother is doing well now.
First I am with the earlier posters. If you have a Ford Service plan you can go to the nearest Ford dealer to you or any Ford dealer in the USA and Canada. Second. People who work on the reception aren't full-time employees and only telling customers the information what they receive from the shop/sales people. If she had the information that everything on you car was done - than she said to you what she has known about it. So please, don't shoot the messenger! She is the person you shouldn't blame for the mismanagement at that dealership. Third. The dealership reports the warranty claim to Ford, Ford likes to have sometimes pictures to have it on file if someone asks why the part was replaced. Yes of course they could have made the pictures right away to have them if Ford needed the pictures. But put yourself in their position. If a customer "runs with a Bradley Tank" over the people in the dealership - some people getting nervous and forgetting things. You should have called ahead and cleared up some things and telling them that you are coming with your mom. Maybe you did but the information wasn't forwarded to the right person?

Congratulations on getting your Mustang, Babiblues75! :clap2:

I'll see how I can help get you completely satisfied with your Triple Yellow Mustang. Please send me a PM with your best contact number, dealer info, and current mileage.

It's recommended that you service the vehicle at your selling dealership, but you may visit any Ford dealer for your warranty and maintenance needs.
