I'm extremely pleased with how the dealer fixed my passenger seat a couple weeks ago. Hope everyone else gets a resolution as well.

Meant to post an update. I got my car back from Ford a week ago. Per Fords directive, they took the seats out and attempted to re-fit the leather. After that did not work Ford then told the dealer to order a new seat for the drivers side. No idea when it will come in but I am very happy with my dealership/Ford and how they have handled things so far.

They had an upholstery shop pick the car up. They took the passenger seat apart and supposedly just fixed the stitching as the padding underneath was actually ok.

A new seat? Or leather cover and or new foam form on the seat frame? Can't imagine ordering a whole new complete seat. Hmm???

Thanks!
Ah good question. It sounded like a new seat? But I'll ask them and post back for ya. Sorry about that.

Semi Off-Topic, but leather related:: Can anyone tell me if their Mustang has this "hole" between the two back seats? It's located at the top of the back passenger side seat (the other one is fine).

PS: I've already left my car for service at 2 dealers (3 appointments in total), and have been told the same thing: "It's within tolerance". I'm on my 4th appointment this week at a different dealer (3rd dealer). They seem to know their stuff, I'm trying to stay positive.
Hi Guio,

I see what you're saying. Send a PM with your VIN, name, phone number, and current dealer info. I'll look into resources to assist on my end. :)

I am not the tallest and biggest but my driver seat starts to loosen now too. Are mostly DARK SADDLE seats having that issue? The passenger seat starts a little bit. I will watch that now for sure.

My front seat leather looks a size too big in areas too, especially the bolsters. A lot of loose leather. Not what I expect in a 40k car. I am going to see what the dealer says when I take it in for all the other issues.

If the leather looks too loose but your dealer says 'it's normal', I would recommend printing out this thread, especially the before/after photos. Be sure to emphasize the Ford Service comments about the leather problems. You will save a lot of time, when your dealer says there is nothing wrong and they don't want to do anything about it. If all else fails, definitely contact Ford Service...they seem to have some influence on dealers who don't want to do warranty repairs.

I have a whole, I think that is normal. My seat are a little more uniform than yours though.

I think the "V" shaped hole is normal. My problem is that the stitching doesn't go all the way back on one of the seats.
I would agree, yours seems a little off. But is it within 'spec', I don't know.

Those rear seats look normal. Go to a dealership with a lot of Mustangs and look at them, some are far worse than your rear seats.

My passenger seat was loose from day 1.Dealer installed new bottom seat cover, was worse.Iguess next step is getting a upholstery shop to get it right.
