I had the same code, wouldnāt pass smog I donāt know how youāre passing smog since the code is still in the computer.I had to replace the gas tank because it had a crack where the vapor hose attaches.$1,900 for tank and install, still ticked about this.
My 15 GT is doing the same but I have the ECC light on.Waiting to get it in for the gas tank vapor line to get replaced.Sounds like thereās a error code locked in the computer.
The gas tank vapor hose is leaking on my 15 GT.Ford wonāt do anything, said car is older than 7 years.Dealer wants over $1,800 to fix, evap warranty from Ford is zilch.
The code is PO456-evap system, smoke test found the leak.EEC light came on last October, they cleared it and wanted me to monitor it.Light came back on about a month ago, thatās when they diagnosed the problem.Codes are cleared right now with no light.
The EEC light came on my 15 GT.Took it in and was diagnosed as leaking vapor hose from the gas tank. I was quoted over $1,400 for labor and almost $500. for parts. The tank and rear end need to come out.Car has 39,000 Ford is no help say car is over 7 years old.Anyone had to deal with this?
Yeah, take it to the dealer.Thereās a safety recall to replace the latches on certain cars produced during a specific time frame. You should of got a notice in the mail if youāre the original owner.
