I purchased my 2018 GT about a year and a half ago and have been toying with the idea of replacing it with a slightly used Challenger Hellcat. I don’t really need the extra space or anything I just feel like its time for something different. I understand the Hellcat is more expensive and therefore better on paper, but if you’re a current/former Hellcat owner: In your opinion do you think the $20k difference between the two is justified?

Had a hellcat for a couple of years. It was so much fun. The mustang has better handling potential but if you prefer straight line acceleration it's the best bargain out there. Keep in mind, it drinks gas and will be expensive to insure. The 15's would be the most prone to problems but most are okay. Biggest issue I have heard of is bearings in the supercharger going bad but again not too many affected and likely would have been caught by now.

The manual is fun but next to impossible to launch. Go for the auto. The 6speed is amazing to row but there is just too much power to not burn the tires loose. Best mods you can do are lighter wheels and wider tires along with a bwoody intake for extra supercharger wine. Also pick a fun color, it's a hellcat, it's not supposed to blend in. Good luck with the purchase of you pull the trigger.

It's a fantastic weekend car but a little bit too much for a dd which is why I got rid of it.
