Both of these articles are speculating that the PP2 will only be available on the Premium.

I disagree. The leaked dealer order guide indicated that 301A is required for PP2 which is for the Base GT.

If the PP2 truly is competition for the 1LE, the 1LE is offered with 1SS and 2SS.

My guess is that PP2 will be available on the base GT (301A required) as well as the Premium (401A not required). If not available on the base GT, that makes my decision much easier, PP1 for me.

If I can't get pretty much what I want for well under $50k, then I will grab a low mile GT350. Plenty of them out there with less than $10k miles for 49 - 53k.

I'd much rather get a GT350 over a GT that expensive. You cannot replicate the engine on the GT350 with the aftermarket.

I deal with the car enthusiast and SCCA racer owner of a small town dealership. The October 2 version of his order guide shows PP2 as 401A only. Still late availability. He says early order guides commonly have errors. That said the Oct 2 version may simply have omitted the 301A info since the option isn't available yet.

Take a look at the online html owner manual performance specifications for the 18 GT PP2 http://www.fordservicecontent.com/F...picHRef=G1917310&div=f&vFilteringEnabled=True

And the 18 GT350 performance specifications http://www.fordservicecontent.com/F...picHRef=G1931243&div=f&vFilteringEnabled=True

The GT info certainly implies the PP2 will not include extra trans and diff coolers and both the GTPP2 and the GT350 will have at least some amount of factory camber adjustment. The current GT350 manual does not have this statement.

If these cars do have some amount of factory camber adjustment it would be nice if at least normal PP's with MagneRide include it also . . . I'm getting a GT with PP and MagneRide and 10A.

PP2 has MagneRide bro... !

Not sure where you getting your ideas from. PP2 is one louder than PP1. Simple logic.

Yup, but if you can get a PP2 equipped GT for under $45k, I wouldn't get a used 350 GT.

Interesting. Please, tell us more about your 100% confirmed source within Ford Motor Company...

Look, point being is we don't know and you don't know. If someone forced you to give a blowjob to the business end of a shotgun and you for sure were to say it had MagneRide would you bet on it with someone's finger on the trigger? Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. The options list has thus far said that MagneRide is incompatible with Performance Package 2. However that also doesn't mean that Performance Package to doesn't INCLUDE MagneRide because MagneRide or any of these options have their own stand alone code for builds. There's other options out there for performance suspension for manually adjustables to DSSV's. Ford does have a relationship with Multimatic...
