I'm doing all 3 right now in preparation to install my Whipple
MMR OPG and CG
ATI damper
It is labor intensive so while in there it is better to do all 3 for the peace of mind.

Just got my car back yesterday from having the OPG and TG done. Charged 8 hours and cost me less than $650 for install. Well worth it to me. Now to pick up my D1SC today from Fedex.

a couple of us Aussie boys saw the OPG drop video a few people been talking about we didn't believe it would break so easily, so we did our own and it did. obviously a drop test doesn't prove anything as it's not really simulating what's happening in the housing, but.
I bought an OEM oil pump to test on shortly before this video posted, so now it won't be as interesting to test. Anyone want to buy it ? 50% off !

A couple of questions. oil pump housing is probably the same material as the OPG. If you install an aftermarket steel gear, will that change the wear pattern on the oil pump housing? Would the new assembly be good for 100,000 miles ?

Also, any one care to guess what material the GT350 oil pump is made out of ? It costs nearly twice as much.

I'd be interested to know if the oil pump housing is made of the same material too. With an aftermarket gear, over time there could be more wear.

You're talking about this GT350 oil pump gear right?
