Android phone keeps un-pairing from Sync

I have a 2016 GT and for some reason my Android phone has started un-pairing from Sync. So every time I get in the car I must re-pair them manually. It had been working perfectly for months and now does not. Any thoughts on what could be wrong? I'm not real tech savvy so I'm not sure what's going on.

I'd try to first delete the phone from Sync completely and re-add. If that doesn't work, try a factory reset of your phone.

I'd also suggest doing the Sync 3 V2.2 update that's floating around here. It's simple, even for someone who is not tech inclined.

You didn't say which phone, nor it's age, but as I had a similar.problem with an LG 980, I can say it was the phone and it's ability to connect to more than a few Bluetooth devices. I just got a new Android, no more issues.

Thanks guys I'll try deleting the phone from Sync completely and going from there. I have a droid turbo 2 but it worked fine for months so I don't think the phone is the issue, but it may have been an android update that screwed it up.

Did you recently update "Android System Webview" in google playstore? mine did the same thing, mobile apps would be off everytime I startup

symptoms: mobiles apps would be off every time you start up the car or sync 3 doesnt recognize bluetooth device
cause: Android system webview recently updated in google playstore which renders the stability, usually apps installed over time might change the system bios variables
fix: update to the newer version 55.0.2883 released dec 9, however the guaranteed fix is to do a factory reset on the phone, not sync 3
