So Im using the same cable I used with my Samsung S8, and I got the S20+ recently and it keeps disconnecting from Android Auto. Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure I read that 1 of the Android apps (Android Auto I believe) was causing this in 1 of their latest updates. Assumed you updated?

Use a new cable. Both AA and Samsung are very finicky. I had similar issues myself with the S10, which I solved with a new Samsung branded cable.
Im going to give the cable that came with it a shot. I'll update this thread so if someone on Google searches this issue they will see.

Well I guess when you boot a new phone it updates the play store or app store. So that sucks

I read that if you go over a bump of some sort, that it will disconnect... and they say it's 'normal' sheesh...

I have an S20+ and BT will disconnect (and reconnect) randomly, like it did before... so Ford/Lincoln hasn't fixed that part at all...

Okay so issue has been fixed to an extent. I started using a samsung cable instead of the braided walmart cable, and I have only had it drop once or twice.

I've been using the Samsung cable. It worked fine for months then just started dropping out. Swapped for a new Samsung cable and it's still dropping out. Don't know if it's my S20 or the cable or the car. At this point it's easier to disable android auto. My car came with nav so I don't need it anyway.

Using a branded Samsung cable, and it still drops out. KTP says his does to so maybe its something firmware rather than hardware on our end.

I just bought a set of high speed (up to 480Mbps) cables from Amazon and for the 1st time in a long time AA didn't drop out on a 45 minute drive. It's also one of those 3A fast charging cables so maybe that helps?
