Hi. I am looking to run 275/40r19 squared on my white 2017 Mustang GT non-PP. The car has GT350 springs and ford track shocks. I will ship the wheels to colombia and will cost $320+ for the set so I am trying to set a budget here.
The idea is to run 275/40r19 to get 8mm more ride height and a little more sidewall for comfort and protect the wheels from the roads here. 9.5" or 10" wide. Not concerned about light weight wheels. I prefer to select wheels based on strength bc I don't want to wait 1 month for replacements. With that said, the OEM 19x8.5 has held up well in the 7 years and 43,000km.
I am thinking about getting the american muscle 19x10 et48 PP1 style wheels and square them. I know the OEM PP1 19x9.5 et53 fits on the front with a 5mm spacer. Using a calculator, the AM wheels will be 2mm closer to the strut. So I'm thinking 5+2=7mm spacer in the front. Maybe a 5mm will work? If I need longer studs then I may as well run a 1/2" spacer. Just checking if anybody has tried this.
