Hello Everyone just wanted to see how much your Ford dealership charges for a "full synthetic oil and filter" change?
I typically get this done for < $100 at other dealers, but I recently moved and went to "Ford of Upland" and was shocked to see this Ford dealer charge me $140.
It was $14.05 in labor, $116.85 in "parts", and $9.35 in sales tax.
The oil was $13.70/quart and it was the "MOTORCRAFT SAE 5W-20 API GF-5" and $14.05 in "FILTER ASY - OIL"
I just don't understand why I've always been charged < $100 with other dealers but suddenly when I go to this one I'm charged $140. Upon asking, they just told me "the price is what it is, it's $13.70/quart and $14.05 in labor"
The preliminary estimate they gave me was $100.
Anyone have any suggestions here? Is this price pretty normal/standard for a full synthetic change through dealers or am I just being completely ripped off here?

UPDATE:
Mark Pavey at Ford of Upland has resolved this matter with me. I understand his explanation and side of the story and appreciate him taking the time to come on here and explain it to the forum members as well. Let's take this as a learning experience and hopefully other dealers can learn from this as well to ensure the same mistake isn't being made.
That said, I am willing to give Ford of Upland another chance for my future service needs and am a satisfied customer again.
Thank you forum members for the suggestions, insight and help. I hope this thread helps, for those who have paid more than $100 for a full synthetic oil change on their Mustang please refer your dealer to this thread.
