There could be a very minor effect coming from the increased positive scrub radius that also results.Okay, so if I read this correctly, spacers should have no bad effects on alignment, right? Mine are 1" btw.
What happens is that when steered and there is a non-zero scrub radius, the front wheels actually do a little 'scuffing' as they are steered. It's probably one of the least important effects, but it does exist.
Too much scrub radius can cause instability under hard braking, especially in cars that retain most or all of the OE rubber front suspension bushings.
