Good luck Bud. They fitted a new compressor for my lady and all sweet so far.
But I say again, we all need to keep in touch IN CASE we need further action down the line. I've owned dozens of cars including a 3 cyl Daihatsu Charade with 160 K's (my son's). Never ever an aircon prob. After all, this is an American car, the land of Aircons!!! Sorry for the rant.

Yeah, there will always be a nagging doubt.

I'll post the part number of the replacement evaporator when it's done so we can keep tabs on what revision we're up to.

I may have joined the club :-(

Ran the aircon on low on the weekend. With an utside air temp of 14C I should have been shivering - but wasn't.

April ‘17 build now due for its 12 month service.

Will be heading west based on feedback here.

And its gone again.

Failed first 12 months ago and they regassed it and added the dye. Now it has gone again they have ordered the parts. Fortunately they have had plenty of practice at replacing them so I'm not too concerned about the dash out issue.

Mine must be a slow leak as it seems to have taken a bit longer than some to reappear.

My car is going in tomorrow for the dash removal/evaporator replacement.

Please forgive me for my sudden bout of trepidation.

Not many stories of botched repairs for these AFAIK Drew but I understand every bit of your trepidation. Nice photo, shame they forgot to put protective seat covers on, thoughtless pr*cks.

yes its a frightening photo, almost obscene, but mine emerged from the surgery in perfect condition, so just hope yours is not the 1st one the dealership has had
And mine goes in Tuesday next week, but the dealership assures me they have had plenty of practice.:amen:

Yeah it's sickening. I've seen a photo of another dash removal/evap replacement where they actually removed the seats and centre console.

I don't blame you. Just hate to see that Will keep all fingers crossed mate.
Thanks!

They've done several already - including a local M6G member's car which had a positive outcome.

Here's hoping - it's probably in pieces as I type this.

OMG!!!! WTF!!!!!! This is absolutely atrocious treatment of a near new vehicle?
FORD has totally dropped the ball on this and should offer you a brand new Mustang instead of ripping yours apart like this. Storing parts on the roof is not acceptable.
I would not be accepting this and going straight to the ACCC. Do not accept this bullshit.

I think you'll find the picture used is of a LHD vehicle, not an AUS vehicle.
by the same token not a good look to store parts on the roof.
