Those CD's are in high demand - I ensured that they were removed from the car (along with the Backstreet Boys and Hanson CD's) prior to drop off.Best of luck Drew.....hopefully they get Elton and B George out of your stereo as well while they are sorting your air.
Mine is a MY17 and it goes in next Tuesday to be replaced.Thank Drewbo for the updates and Evap part NO. Good luck, I hope that sorts the problem for good as we all know that our warranties are rapidly running out for those that paid the RRP and got a crap 3 year warranty unlike today when you just pop in pay a lot less and get 5 years.
Does anyone have any idea if this AC problem (Evap) affects MY2017 vehicles to the extent it seems to affect MY2016 Mustangs.
So is that a new part as opposed to the original faulty part? Sorry I don't know what the original part number was.Well, that went rather smoothly.
Gave it a good looking over - no damage whatsoever that I can see and all lighting etc. reconnected properly.
No new rattles detected on my short drive home.
Oh, and the air conditioning is now working perfectly.
:clap2:
Part number of the new evaporator assembly is: GR3Z 19850 AF.
I'm assuming it's a revised part - I have no idea what the original part number was.So is that a new part as opposed to the original faulty part? Sorry I don't know what the original part number was.
Seems that there has been an evolving change in part numbers @trumpeteer_au .So is that a new part as opposed to the original faulty part? Sorry I don't know what the original part number was.
Best of luck tomorrow, @trumpeteer_au !And mine goes in Tuesday next week, but the dealership assures me they have had plenty of practice.:amen:
Thanks Drewbo
Well got the car back and all seems well. It's working and no rattles. Same part number as you DrewboBest of luck tomorrow, @trumpeteer_au !
Since my evap replacement, I have noticed a 'fluttering' sound when backing off after accelerating between gear changes. It seems to disappear after warm up.
Perhaps it's always been there and the sound insulation wasn't put back properly when the dash went back in. Definitely not heard it before, though.
Practice makes perfect I guess. Can't find any marks from the dash having been out either so they have done well. :clap2:
Turn up Hansen, it's been known to make things give up and go away ;)Best of luck tomorrow, @trumpeteer_au !
