Anyone use the Airaid intake tube only with the stock air box?

so the question is do you think it was worth the investment? any different sound, performance, etc? did you also change the filter?

Yes the sounds get louder but I believe that could have been more from the Green Filter.
I could instantly tell there was a better pull in the car with my ass dyno.

Now that I have my FP Tune I'm going to try the MIT pipe with the OEM Box & MIT + FP intake bucket

I did a long time ago then went to the FP Tune but I want to modify the intake tube and keep the original.

Just the tube

Recently I installed just the tube. I haven't replaced the filter yet, but I'm planning to. There's more engine sound, in a good way. I would agree that there seems to be a performance improvement. Big things I noticed: one seems to pull to about 6k where before it seemed to fall off at 5500. So there's less time hanging out to 6500 when standing on the gas. Second it doesn't seem as boosty, if that's a word.

Others have said that there is only an improvement of a couple HP, but it sure feels better than that. Maybe it just improves the drivability that much more. Not sure but I'm keeping it.

Quick question on this tube, does it work with the UPR DVCC? Since that can has a silicone coupler that goes between the intake tube and the turbo inlet.

UPR DVCC install video shows a coupler like the Airaid with the nipple. Just guessing you can order a coupler that fits.

Yeah I seem to remember some options for that coupler when I ordered the kit now that you say it. Its been a while, I'll have to go back and check.

And what kind of radiator fluid are you running that it looks purple?
