Anyone considering adding an aftermarket sunroof to their 2015 Mustang? Given that it's not an option and I live in Houston, TX I'm considering this as a possible functional and appearance mod as I do NOT want a convertible.

Here's a web page that shows a couple of S197 cars w/ both the "slide in" moonroof option and the pop up "spoiler style" sunroof. I'm thinking the slide in moonroof would look best on the new S550 body.

I agree ^. Don't mess with the structure.
I got an aftermarket sunroof many years ago put into my GrandPrix GTP and I wouldn't do it again.
The installation and quality of the sunroof was excellent. No leaks, large size, nice features but I did feel a structural difference to the car.

while also completely ruining the rigidity of your car.

This is a valid point though I'm thinking the structure of these cars might be a bit better from the beginning than the GM G-body from a couple of decades ago.

Also since I'm considering a car w/ performance pack and Recaros I'm thinking of adding sub-frame connectors and/or a harness bar at some point that may offset any structural compromises of a moonroof.

Absolutely the S550 body is better but so is the power. With more power and overall performance needs a stronger body.

It's you car so do whatever you want. I'm just saying that it could negatively effect the structural integrity of the car. Not saying it will make a huge difference and will probably just be subtle. These were not designed to have a sunroof.

Yeah, that's a good point along w/ the fact that the G-body was a transverse mounter fwd v6 vs the Mustang being a front engine mounted rwd drive car where the torque acts differently on the length of the car. This is not really something I'm set on, just kind of considering it at this point.

Go for it, since ford was too cheap and/or dumb to give it one from the factory. I'd do the same, if I pick the 5.0, but if I do I will be leasing it, so Im sure that will be forbidden.
