Aftermarket hood

Anyone have an experience with duraflex v carbon fiber? Is it worth like, twice the price?
I’m looking for a V2 GT500 style hood for my GT (I’m putting a blower on it and want the heat extraction/love the look).

Never hear good things about Duraflex, so I'd avoid it myself. Especially if a quality piece isn't that much more (at least compared to the money you dropped on a new Mustang, a blower, and all the other goodies in the signature)

You make a good point… I was kinda hoping that someone would say how great duraflex was cause it’s literally half the cost of the carbon one.

Vicrez…. It’s all aluminum and super lightweight. I’m still waiting on getting mine painted. But very impressed with it. Also the lines are much more like that of the GT500.

That’s clean, I like it. A lot less expensive too, which I like even more. How was the company to deal with?

If you go to the Vicrez website they have underside pics. I assure you though, the hood is perfect. Underside looks factory hood even. As for dealing with the company…. It was excellent. The hood arrived a lot faster than I had expected and the packaging was excellent. Plus it’s aluminum and doesn’t require all the repairs/prep n such that most fiberglass hoods require before paint. Fits perfect!!!!

That’s great to hear, I’ve been worried about over paying or getting something that doesn’t fit right. This place is right by my house too, hopefully they’ll let me go pick it up. Stoked
