I wouldnt think the filter inside the airbox would have much change in AITs, however the wire mesh in the aftermarket filters could act as a heat sink and absorb the heat.http://www.rdpstore.com/p-6772-afe-...ry-s-2015-ford-mustang-l4-v6-v8-31-10255.aspx Waiting for two of these to be delivered for no specific reason other than I may have an inquiring mind,I will do my own non-scientific comparison with our cars by:
- Taking the cars out at the same time to compare the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) with the stock filters.
- Compare the IAT with aFe filter installed in one car vs stock in the other.
- Compare throttle response, sound, etc...
The aFe will the first dry performance filter that we have owned. I've used the oiled filters in many of our cars and we still have one that is 15 years old with a 120K miles on it. (Love the filter, just don't like to clean it).
Either way I dont expect them to be too far apart, but am curious to see your findings.
