I haven't been to a track in 25 years. Might be going this weekend. 2015 gt pp mt82. Stock clutch. Upgrades are stage 2 whipple with 3.625 pulley, force renegade axles. Whipple tune. Tires are nitto nt05 305 35 19. 331s in a torsen rear.How to launch what to expect and not break anything. Thanks

I have a 2017 Mustang Auto with whipple stage2 tune and leave at 1,000RPM with MT drag radials and run 10.80ET 132MPH.Good Luck

I’m running the MT ET Street R radial tires with a roush setup and MT82. My first couple passes I launched from an idle to see if the tires would hold power in first gear. This yields about a 1.8 60ft. I worked my way up to 4500 to 5000 slipping launch. Which I can pull consistent 1.6x 60 ft. With launching a heavy car, you can’t just drop the clutch. Something has to give to accelerate the car. A stock clutch won’t last very long with a launching slip. Mine started to slip after the first time at the strip. I have a McLeod RXT twin disk now with about 30 passes on it and it’s flawless.

Nice thing is a PD blower is perfect for a idle launch due to the fact you’re making almost full torque at about 2500 to 3000 rpm.
