Okay so I want to reduce my wheel hop. I see steeda has come up with various mods for the car to control the wheel hop.

My question is, what mod is the most essential and primary mod to start feeling the difference?

Choices:
IRS Bushings support
Vertical Links
Toe Links
Subframe Support braces

Please choose one :hail: Thanks :headbang:

I can't help as I'm having pretty much everything they have out installed all at once except the end links and sways which won't help with hop.

I'm guessing the bushing inserts will provide the single best improvement but needs to be paired with the other stuff to get maximum benefit.

You could PM David@Steeda or TJ@Steeda and I'm sure they could help you. I just installed the Differential bushings, bushing supports and subframe alignment kit. Doing those 3 at the same time eliminated a lot of repeat work. I also have the vertical links which I will be installing today. In my opinion, I think those parts are what you need.

Awesome, congrats! It's not too late, I'd really recommend getting the rear sub frame alignment kit at the same time. You have to take those bolts out anyway and the delrin sleeves just slide right in. I wish I could tell you how much the bushing supports did compared to the other parts but it was just so easy to do them all together, I didn't want to repeat taking the same stuff apart multiple times.

I don't have the parts, but the IRS Bushings support is the item most intended to help with wheel hop. Steeda themselves even describes their bushing support as "The first step towards eliminating wheel hop."

I was scheduled to do exactly this next Friday but decided to change course and first do a set of rear wheels w/drag radials for track days. The hop isn't an issue for me on the street and dr's were on my short list anyhow. After talking with several people with a hell of a lot more track experience than me, most suggested this route since the sticky tire will eliminate/minimize the spin off the line anyhow.

If this works out it will be a savings equal to the cost of the wheels and tires, and if it doesn't work, I haven't lost a thing.

You need multiple parts to eliminate wheel hop.

I would get their stop the hop package and then get their diff bushing inserts. The ideal setup would only allow the control arms to move in a perfectly fixed axis around the bolt holding them to the subframe and the spindles to move on perfectly fixed axes where bolted to the control arms. The problem with the factory voided bushings is they're compliant and compress under load. This allows the differential to move, the subframe to move, and the control arms to move in ways they shouldn't. If you get one or two items, you address one or two contributors to wheel hop, and improve it, but you won't get rid of everything that affects it. Even if you do everything, the wheel hop may not be totally eliminated because the factory rubber bushings are retained and they still compress (just not nearly as much). But the rubber bushings also retain favorable NVH, where replacement bushings of less compliant materials will transfer more NVH through, which can make the car brutal and exhausting to drive.

That's not a bad idea at all, I don't have a lot of hop myself when I'm on it but I've never launched like you have at the strip.

You have any plans to upgrade axle shafts at all soon?
