Yes the 3rd pic is how I got the alert and ground wire from the cabin into the door. I forget if this was the driver or passenger side, but I found this was the easiest way route the wires. I took a small drill bit and open up the holes enough to get the wires in. The driver and passenger side are different but they both have areas where this can be done. The pigtails purchased from rockauto come pre-wired. The pigtail is numbered, so it makes wiring easy. When it comes to wiring the mirrors, the mirror has a plug connecting the light (Black) If you go this route you when need to buy the female connector (white) and add the pins so they can plug together like in the pics. Thanks for the photos. Did you have a premium car? I believe getting the wires from the cabin to the doors looks like it might be a problem. I would like the OEM look but I may end up using the A pillar.
The 3rd picture, is that how you routed the wires through the plug that goes to the door?
I am looking to get the parts in the next week or two and then I will schedule a weekend to finish this up.
I think my biggest problem is how to wire up the connections. I just finished up the my color and it came out like OEM, just the door handles I skipped as I couldn't find a way to get the wire to the door. I can probably add it later on if i can get a safe route.
Also, does the pigtail that connects to the module come wired or do you have to pin it? I wasn't clear on that
Thanks again man!
