What did you guys pay for this part . My local dealer spare parts department quoted me $300. Lol
i just looked up those parts a-e with a quick google search, and range from anywhere between $10 to $50 for a single part depending on which one you get. which part number did you have them quote you on?

i'd run... very fast... away from that dealer

edit: i see you're in AUS... might have something to do with the price increase, but even with import fees, taxes, exchange rates, etc.. i cant believe it raises the price to $300

I used the engineering number off my harness. The dealer then cross referenced it to the equivelant part number.

interesting.. when i type in that number "GR3B 13E721 R30XD" there is an ebay.co.uk listing that pops up and it lists an large mass of wires.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-RHD-2...WIRING-LOOM-GR3B-13E720-AA-GR3B-/153651010368

one of the pictures has the same engineering # as you list, but there are some other tags with other engineering # on them also.

i wonder if the dealer was quoting you for this entire wiring assembly? i could see that costing $300 from the dealer, new..

I ordered mine from the AutoNation Ford in Whitebear Lake, Minnesota. No idea if they ship internationally. With shipping, I got the foot well lights for $47 USD. I’m surprised Ford doesn’t have a parts site for you guys over there, it’s not like you’re that small of a market.

I paid $82.45 total. I purchased lights for a Ford Escape and they worked out great. I already had wire, etc. I tapped into the existing mycolor harness in the door, drilled a hole for the light underneath the door handle and glued it in place. You wouldn’t know it wasn’t like that from the factory.

That looks excellent @Brad2579
I was going to do the doors but the idea of having to drill didn't seem worth it to me for the lights.
Maybe down the line when I move I may just put in a premium harness and set it up that way.

Thanks!! Seeing as the mycolor was already in the door it was actually pretty easy. I used a step bit so it made the job alot easier and the hole came out perfect. Modifying/retro fitting things is kinda fun for me. I’ve recently added the 18-19 digital dash and factory BLIS/cross detection, so drilling a hole wasn’t such a big deal for me, but I totally understand it is not for everyone.

Hi guys,
I did the lights this weekend. I had a hard time finding a good power source. Not my cup of tea.
At first I tapped into the grey wire with the purple tracer that all those mustang sites say to hook up your door sills and it worked. But when i closed the door they would go out 5 seconds later. So then I tried tapping into the PRNDS light but it was not enough power to turn on the leds.
I then tried looking up some other sites that says they tapped into the yellow and blue wire. There was no wire like that on the harness. The harness next to it however had a wire like that. I hooked into it and it did not work. Was about to call it a day and turned the car on and the lights worked. Looks like I tapped into the ignition circuit I guess. I could operate the light with the provided switch and could turn it on even if the park lights were off. Doesn't really help as you really can't see anything in the day.
Once I shut down the car the light would remain on till I opened the door. So this way I could use the switch for the kit or the killing the ignition to shut it off.
So far everything is running well. Hope this helps someone undergoing this

Hi @Brad2579
How hard was the BLIS install. I am looking into this next and will hopefully undertake it when I am 100% sure that I have this down. Working on the car is relaxing to an extent and I plan to pass this on to my son. He can hopefully say that his dad built a lot of this with his own hands, lol
Thanks

Plugged in the foot well lights today, tried checking them this evening and they're not turning on. I'm figuring I need a premium cluster to activate them, and that the lights inside the car behave differently than the door sills, which do light up when I open the door.

Sorry for the delay in my response, I didn’t realize you asked a question. It wasn’t very difficult if you don’t mind wiring and using forscan. I took my time wanted everything to look like it came that way from the factory. Unfortunately I did not do a write up but here are a few photos for reference.

Thanks for the photos. Did you have a premium car? I believe getting the wires from the cabin to the doors looks like it might be a problem. I would like the OEM look but I may end up using the A pillar.
The 3rd picture, is that how you routed the wires through the plug that goes to the door?
I am looking to get the parts in the next week or two and then I will schedule a weekend to finish this up.
I think my biggest problem is how to wire up the connections. I just finished up the my color and it came out like OEM, just the door handles I skipped as I couldn't find a way to get the wire to the door. I can probably add it later on if i can get a safe route.
Also, does the pigtail that connects to the module come wired or do you have to pin it? I wasn't clear on that
Thanks again man!
