Has anyone looked into adding a fuel filter to the Sai fuel kit since the GT350 and GT500 pumps rely on a external filter? I am also curious if the GT350 pumps have the same capacity as the GT500 pumps. I think his kit includes the GT350 pumps but it used to include the GT500 pumps.

The pumps have a filters the bottom of the hat. But it really doesnt matter too much what pumps he has since you can only move so much fuel through a stock feed line.

Did you move up to a bigger fuel system? I am pretty certain the socks on the filters are not designed to be the only filter in the system.

No im just running his twin pump kit and id1300's. Well our stock fule system is the same way. Filter is in the hat and there is no inline filter.

The GT500 and GT350 hats contain the same exact pumps. The difference is the GT500 has a vertical outlet and the GT350 has a horizontal outlet thus the GT350 pumps are a much better fit with the stock line.

Ken B from PBD stated that the factory GT hat has a non replacable integrated filter and the GT350 and GT500 hats rely on an external fuel filter. I just went on Rock Auto and there is an external fuel filter listed for the GT350 and GT500 but not our GT.

That is nice to know because the GT350 pump is $181.00 and the GT500 is $350.00.

I would check part#'s first,I can't believe the 350 uses the same pump as a gt500 when their is almost 150 hp difference between the 2.Could be but I would check part numbers.

There is an internal filter on the stock GT, I've ripped one apart. I've heard there is an integrated filter in one of the lines on the GT350 but I don't think anyone is running it.

Same Delphi pumps in both hats. The proof is in the pudding, my GT350 pumps are supporting 850whp on E85.

Did you get the Sai Li system or piece it together on your own Does it bother you running it without a fuel filter?

Well the stock.gt fuel pump will support 650 rwhp,i.could be wrong but I don't believe those pumps carry the same volume of fuel.

Maybe you should buy them both and let us know what pump they have.

I built my own. I'm honestly not worried given the design of the hat and the style of pre-filter used on these pumps.

GT500- 2 Delphi T23 pumps
GT350- 2 Delphi T23 pumps

The GT runs an internal filter.

The GT500/GT350s run filter socks on the pumps with external in-line filters.

Adding an external filter is a smart idea with the GT500/GT350 hat set ups, there is a reason fuel systems have fuel filters.
