Just want to bump this and add my AC compressor to the list of being required to be fixed. Not sure exactly what went wrong but my brother checked on the car for me while I’ve been deployed and said it was seized up, so arranged for him to drop it off at the dealer. I called them today and they said they are replacing the compressor along with a few other minor components.

My car is out of the factory warranty at I think like 43k miles maybe a little more. Luckily I bought an ESP from flood before the B2B expired so no cost to me.

I really just wanted to report that this clearly won’t just happen early on and it’s be a good idea to purchase an ESP if you haven’t already. I live in Charleston S.C. too so it’s not like I haven’t used the AC either. It gets used a bunch. Mine just seemed to last longer than some of the others I’ve seen on the forums

You can add my 2015's AC compressor to the list as well... did a lot of checks this afternoon, fuse is good, idle is increasing when AC is turned on at idle (meaning the ECU is at least recognizing the switch being pressed), pressure in system is good, but the AC compressor clutch wont engage. It spins freely, the compressor does, so I'm guessing it's the compressor clutch or something related to it.

Just passed 16k miles on it. For a last build batch 2015 (received August of 2015), this car has had a number of minor problems on it that is making me seriously glad that I wont be in it much longer. Good thing is I still have bumper to bumper to fall back on until August... it'll be in the dealership getting fixed here next week. I will not go a Nebraska summer without AC.
