Hey guys, noobie here. Came from a 200HP FWD Honda.

I got a 2018 Mustang GT with an A10 tranny.

My dumb question...
During accelerating at a turn, the car jerks until I Decelerate.
Is this traction control, breaking/slowing down the car so I don't spin out?
It also kinda happens when I accelerate too aggressively going straight as well.

I'm thinking that is just traction control keeping me in check, or does it sound like I have a different problem?

It's kinda hard to pick up on what you are describing...when you say it jerks, do you mean it kinda lurches back and forth, like you are blipping the throttle? Sometimes on my '18 A10, I get this effect (especially in Sport or Track mode). I think the sensitive throttle combined with the shift jolt at shift points, makes my foot accidentally and unintentionally press down on (or off of) the gas pedal. And once it starts, it's kind of a bucking bronco effect because when the car lurches forward your foot applies less pressure on the pedal, making the car decelerate suddenly, which makes your foot come back down on the pedal, making it lurch forward...

That sounds kind of what is happening, does it happen to you mostly on turns?

Basically:
When I am at a stop (just exited the highway)
Turning right
I accelerate while turning and the car jerks a couple times until I decelerate.

Yes, I notice it more often when I'm at a stop and need to make a turn onto a highway and accelerate. But for me it usually doesn't happen unless I'm in Sport or Track mode. If I make a conscious effort to be gentle and smooth with the gas pedal, it helps.

Do you happen to have the optional 3.55 axle ratio? I think that probably would make the effect more noticeable, since it makes the car more responsive to throttle in the lower gears.

I've never bothered to have my dealer check this issue, due to this being my only car and I hate to have it out of service. But at times I wondered if I had a broken transmission mount, or if there was something wrong with the gas pedal sensor or throttle body.
