Sold my '08 Bullitt with 7200 miles on it in preparation for the GT350. Yesterday I saw two of them around town here. Still sad I sold it.
You chose wisely.

Congrats, still fooling myself by trying to think I can keep my Boss at the same time. Until the GT350 gets a VIN, then it'll get real.

Thanks for sharing the pictures and stories guys. I feel a little better. It is hard waiting for the new car to come and became even harder since the old one sold so much faster than I expected. I am totally on foot now.

You got me thinking...I'd like to keep both ;) Wife approval pending.

When you build this from scratch, it's hard to let go. (I did sell it once years ago and traveled across the country to get it back. :)

I sold my 97 Supra single turbo a year ago. I was originally going to buy the Hellcat, but a GT350 will now be sitting in its place as my garage queen. Never think of your new car as a replacement, that can never be. Always see it as a new start.

Funny thing is, in the past, I never really liked Mustangs :)

Today is a sad day for me. I sold my 2005 Saleen in preparation to buy the 2016 Shelby GT350 I have on order. It sold faster than I expected and now I will be on the sneaker express for a few months. I will miss the old car but the new Shelby will be much better!
I feel your pain, brother. I have to let go of my 71 Boss 351 for my new R but I'm so ready to make the transition.

Way I see it, we are passing on a legacy to others that will appreciate what helped us to get to the point we are today.

I feel some what the same way.
Mine is an 08 GT/CS Vert. that I have put
a lot of money, time, effort, blood and a few bad words
to get it where it is. I will sell this car to make room for the
new Shelby. As one friend said, the pain will ease with the
exhaust note of the new Shelby, I do believe he is right :)

I feel your pain. To make way for a GT350 I parted ways with my first car, 68 Firebird, that I owned for 21 years and restored from a rust bucket :brokenheart:. Only have one garage but asked the new owner to keep me in mind for first dibs to buy it back in the future.

You don’t want to know
My tale from the dark side: I sold my 2007 C6 Z51 to fund the GT 350. It only took me a year to finally let it go, but the offer was just too good to pass up. My 11-year-old son and I went to Bowling Green to watch the assembly of the car, he got to install a part on the line and I got to start it for the first time. It turned out to be ridiculously rare, which would have paid off at a collector car auction around 2030 - the only '07 of more than 42,000 '07s built this way - but the ghost of Carroll Shelby was too hard to resist.

Thanks Drum.
Great story Spa about your kid and u sharing in the C6 build. It would be great if Ford had a similar program but I guess the line the GT350 runs on is way to busy for it.

It looks like there's a little bit of Ford on that Pontiac.

Good eye guys. It's a Mach 1 scoop and fit the pontiac hood line pretty well. Also was functional since the car had a high rise intake and allowed cold air to the air cleaner.
