A-pillar cover removal in convertible

About to replace the tweeters and need to remove the a-pillar covers, was hoping to get some advice on the process, all the videos I have seen are for the fastback. I see the vanity mirrors need to come down, thanks!

Well, that was fun..

To remove the visor, under the hinge is a small plastic cover. Pop that off, and you will see a trim piece clip holding it in, not a screw. Remove that piece, and the mirror will pivot down, disconnect harness.

The a-pillar piece is a pain to remove/install, and for me took some patience. The space is cramped and the trim piece tabs bend easily making it not sit right unless all tabs are seated properly.

To avoid scuffing dash (the trim tab pieces rub the dash as your wiggling the thing around to get it to line up) I used painters tape in several places, this helped a lot.

After several failed attempts of getting the front trim piece tabs to line up I thought about just cutting them off. Then I noticed there is just enough room to get a long thin screwdriver up there to help guide the tabs into place.

That's what I had to do to coax mine back into place. I used a long trim tool under the a pillar trim. Positioned it to hold back the guide tab beside the hole in the most forward location of the dash that the a pillar tab goes into. Once that was in there, it all came back together.
