I read the issue with the Bronco roofs earlier this week…. That’s just another dent in a new release. There hasn’t been a new Ford that has been released in the last 5 years without SOME type of major dilemma or warranty issue.

Truth. They are incapable of a smooth product launch.

Too many bean counters ? As with anything today, don't buy first gen of anything. Let others be the beta testers, who needs the headaches, not me.

Read the same about the bronco, what a shame, patching makes things worse. Doubting it builds any additional product confidence .

Went to a dealer event recently and they had it on display. Looked like, well I be kind, basic & missing the mark most were hoping for.

I as looking them over but I cant see getting a Sport without the 2.3T or 2.7T or a Bronco without a 5.0 or 3.0T. I feel like the top engines on both are what I'd view as a "Base" engine.

That said I prefer cars, and sadly with Ford only making Mustang, that puts them off the table for any other buys in the future that are non-Mustang. That said most of its final car releases missed the mark other than the Focus ST/Fiesta ST and Focus RS. The Taurus was to big and heavy, the SHO was also to big and heavy and the tranny wasnt really up to the task. The Fusion Sport could have been a great Mini-SHO but again, tranny needed a bit better gearing.

If they had cut some weight from a "revised" Taurus SHO, gave it AWD and the new 3.0T with a more performance-oriented gearing it would have been great. If the Fusion Sport had AWD and a nice 6spd manual I'd be driving that now instead of the Mustang.

It's been a long time for me since I feel like Fords released a vehicle that's hit every mark I'd look for in that vehicle.

Here's the email I got from Ford regarding our MEGT PE scheduled to be built next week:

Dear G,
The global semiconductor chip shortages are affecting our ability to keep up with demand. While that's no excuse, it is a reality.
We'd like you to know that while we're working nonstop to deliver your very own Mustang Mach-E vehicle, we project your vehicle delivery will be delayed by a minimum of six weeks. Once your vehicle receives the required chip, your vehicle status will be updated, and you'll receive an email with an estimated week of delivery.
In appreciation of your patience and loyalty, we're providing you an additional 250 kWh of complimentary charging on the Blue Oval™ Charge Network.*

Your Ford Mustang Mach-E Team

My impression is it will be built on time, but sit in Mexico until the chip comes in and is installed.
