Interesting that two certified detailers answered all your questions on another forum, providing detailed technical information (all typed extemporaneously which took a lot of time) and provided recourses, links and products.. All we got was clicks for likes...) Now all the same questions, somewhat similar responses... In my business we call this "shopping for answers." Good luck!

For a dual action polisher, most start off learning on Griot's G6, Portacable 7424xp, or Harbor Freight. I particularly like the PC 7424xp... The Griot's G6 is good, also has a lifetime warranty.

Essentially got to autogeekonline.net and go to the how-to's section. You will get more info than you ever needed.

Yes, I posted on both places. More answers the better to me. Nothing wrong with posting in multiple places ! I believe I thanked you multiple times and showed appreciation for the time you took to type all that out. Click like included!

Nothing wrong with posting answers across various platforms. Lots of crappy information out there in the detailing world, the more answers he can get the better. IDA certification doesn't necessarily mean that you know what you're doing.

If budget allows, look into a Rupes Bigfoot or Griots BOSS line polisher.

Both are smoother machines with significantly more power than the ones listed above. They also have larger orbits for faster correction. The machines listed above have pretty small 8mm orbits which is ok for finish work, but less desirable for correction.
